Avalara Offices
CLIENT: ROBERT MURRAY DESIGN | AVALARA
Tax automation company Avalara moved into their new headquarters in the brand-new Avalara Hawk Tower in Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood and needed a full EGD scope. The more than 114,000-square-foot space occupies the top six of 18 floors and overlooks CenturyLink Field. The Seattle Headquarters was awarded the Geekiest Office Space for 2018, presented by GeekWire.
The graphics concept is an extension of Avalara's first trade show booth- a tiki bar that set the message that customers could use Avalara software to worry less about taxes and spend more time relaxing. The tiki theme, surfboards and signature orange color has remained Avalara's brand ever since. The concept of the wave with the internal crossing lines is created from the angles in their logo and represents the complexity of tax code. The floor themes feature local bands, brews, attractions, teams and people. Project completed with Robert Murray Design.
After the completion of the Seattle office, Phox Creative assisted Robert Murray Design in helping to adapt and implement the experiential graphics to other Avalara offices including: Durham, North Carolina; Irvine, California; Pune, India; and Brighton, UK. The murals reflect the local culture while still maintaining a strong Avalara brand.
